Alzheimer's disease is believed to be genetic and generally it is considered that many genes are involved in the transfer of Alzheimer's from one generation to other with a risk factor of 70%. Hypertension, depression and head injury, plaques and tangelos in the brain can also cause Alzheimer's. To know about other possible causes medical imaging, blood tests and cognitive tests should be administered.
Physical and mental exercise, and avoiding obesity can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. For the accomplishments of daily activities the person with Alzheimer's needs others assistance.
Treatment:
There are no medications or treatment to reverse or stop it's progression, however some can improve symptoms.
For the treatment of Alzheimer's cholinesterase inhibitors can be used. These drugs boost the communication between cells providing them a neurotransmitter namely Acetylcholine.
